How To Create An Effective Resource Box

By: GT Allen

In this article, I'm going to teach you how to create an effective resource box for your article marketing efforts.

Article marketing is the process of writing a high-quality, value-driven content article and submitting it to an article directory for the purpose of gaining exposure to your business and driving traffic to your websites. Article marketing is a give-and-take relationship where you give your original content to the article directories in exchange for getting links in the resource box to promote your business.

Article marketing is a very solid strategy that has a ton of benefits, but for the purpose of this article, I'm going to focus only on the resource box.

The resource box is the very last part of the article where you can put your links, you can summarize your content, you can give the reader more information about you, whatever. Bottom line is you're writing articles and submitting them to the directories for one reason... to get clicks and to drive traffic to your websites!

To do this properly, your resource box must be effective at making people take action. There are many things you can do to make your resource box effective.

One strategy is to use a 'cliff hanger' approach where you don't summarize or conclude the content, leaving the reader looking for more. You definitely give them content and great value, but you then invite them to your website to get more information about the topic they just read. This strategy is very powerful.

An example of this might be, "By the way, if you liked what you read and want to get more information about this topic, click the link below"... and so on. If you did your job correctly by writing a great article and you provided amazing content, you should get a lot of people clicking onto your website.

Another effective resource box strategy is when you're promoting a product you created. Let's say the topic is dirt bike racing. Let's say you created a 10 video product on dirt bike racing and your article is on the same topic. One idea is to give the readers a 'teaser' gift by maybe getting the first video for free when they visit your website from the link below.

You write a killer article, you give them 'the goods' and you tell them they can get more information and part of a paid product for free if they go to your website. Chances are you will get a lot of clicks and probably you will make a lot of sales of your product.

There are more strategies on how to create an effective resource box, but the two I've just given you are a good start. It's important you understand that people reading your articles want information about the topic, not information about you. If you want to include information about you in the resource box, do it at the very end.

By the way, if you liked this article, you will probably like my new daily newsletter on real Internet marketing strategies and techniques. I am planning to send a daily training for 1 full year. If you like this article, you should like the daily training.
