How to Increase Website Traffic by Exploiting Pay Per Click
By: Doug Barger
Here's a little known, easy to use, dare I say "safe" way to get your feet wet exploiting pay per click advertising to increase website traffic with little cost.
Several years ago, I had received one of those vouchers for free advertising with pay per click search engine advertising. I had a nice email conversion system to follow up with autoresponder messages after prospects subscribed to my free front end offer. The conversion series was around twenty messages and crafted to make the transition from prospect to customer seamless.
Needless to say, I was excited when I received the free search engine advertising voucher for pay per click advertising up to a hundred dollars. Sure it wasn't much, but it was enough to sample how it works without investing much initial capital.
The great thing about it is you can set a limit to your daily advertising budget so you never get charged more than what you stipulate is within your budget. Because this was free, I wasn't concerned much, but set the limit to the amount of money I'd been given to use for advertising as my maximum daily budget.
What this does, is it enables you to bid as much as you want for your profitable and highly searched (even competitive) keywords without having to pay anything over and beyond your budget that day.
If it's profitable, you can continue with the same budget the next day using profits you earned from your first campaign so it's a completely risk-free proposition.
Here's the exciting part.
Since I'd received the voucher and wasn't technically "paying" for the clicks I was able to bid on that day, I looked and saw what the minimum bid was to secure the #1 top position on top of all the results on the first page and bid it.
What this did was literally turn on the faucet to the traffic!
Within minutes, I had scores of new subscribers signed up to my list and receiving autoresponder messages. Because I had outbid everyone else by using the voucher, my ad appeared first on the first page. Since there were literally hundreds of thousands of people searching for this extremely competitive search phrase, it seemed to take no time at all before traffic was hitting my site. Of course, since it was only $100 in pay per click ads, it was used up relatively quickly, but it was a quick and easy way for me to get my first taste of how to increase website traffic exploiting pay per click advertising.
It's funny how you still remember your first campaign years later. Did you know you can still get those pay per click advertising vouchers? Most of the time, people can log in to their website control panel and see whatever company they got their website hosted with has one waiting for them and they didn't even know it.
Well now that you know it, don't just let it sit there collecting digital dust. Increase website traffic for yourself by exploiting pay per click advertising for your own web site traffic and see how you like it.
Who knows? It could open the door to a whole new world of generating traffic to your website for you. Of course there are plenty of other ways to get traffic to your website affordably, quickly and easily.
