In this article I am going to share a mistake that I see more Internet Marketers making every day. This mistake is costing them hundreds if not thousands of dollars. I'm not sure if they are making the mistake because of a lack of knowledge or if they are just trying to save a few bucks.
I am going to do more than explain what mistake my fellow marketers are making, I am also going to show you how to avoid falling into the same trap. Since I am in such a great mood while writing this article I may just throw in a few other awesome tips to help you out.
Most Internet Marketers understand the value of building a list, this is hands down the most important task that any Internet Marketer could and should be focusing on. I know firsthand how difficult it could be when you're just starting out trying to make that first buck online.
Without fail my heart is filled with joy every time I stumble across a website and I see that the marketer is building a list. That is an indication that he or she is on the right path. In my efforts of constant and never ending improvement I make it a habit to opt-in to every list I come across, I like to study the various techniques. I highly recommend that you setup a new account and do the same.
Although the majority of marketers that I came across had the right idea, they were making the mistake of using a server side script or some sort of blog plug-in to manage their opt-in list. Some that I corresponded with admitted that they use this approach to save on monthly cost. They were blown away once I explained that a high percentage of their emails were never reaching their prospects, because the emails where getting trapped by spam list filters.
Nine chances out of ten you are hosting your website on a shared server. That means that there are dozens if not more sites sharing the same I.P. address. When you send out emails through services such as gmail, yahoo, etc… that have teams of individuals whose job it is to create what is called a spam list. Although you may not consider yourself a spammer the spam detection team at those other services may feel differently.
Look at it this way… You wouldn't go to an auto mechanic to have open heart surgery done so why would you try to do a job of a professional yourself. Use professional companies to host your list and to be in charge of sending your emails out. There are numerous advantages to you using a professional. There are to many advantages to list in this article. At least look into it - I promise you it will be the best Internet Marketing decision that you will ever make.

Stop whatever it is that you are doing in your business and start building your list today.
